Setting Up A Dredge Fish Weight

Every seasoned captain knows that the most effective way to attract Billfish, in our case Sailfish or White Marlin, is pulling dredges. However, although are tremendously effective, often lack of proper knowledge in setting and using the rigs can be more trouble than its worth.
There are different kinds of dredges and it does not matter if it’s a dead bait dredge, rubber squid dredges, Mudflap dredge or combination, there is one thing that they all have in common; they are very expensive and no one would enjoy losing them. For these reasons setting up a dredge is something that needs to be well rehearsed.
To explain further, here are a few tips on setting up a proper dredge weight on the dredge and into the line, preventing any accidents or wahoo bites.
